The traditional recipe Bakewell Tart with a fondant icing and glace cherry topping.


A hand made traditional Bakewell Tart made with a shortcrust pastry case and filled with lashing of seedless indulgent strawberry jam. Finished off with a sponge filling consisting of whole egg, almonds, sugar and plain flour poured over the jam to make a pale fluffy cake like filling. This Bakewell Tart can be fondant iced with a cherry or flaked almond topped.
