Post A Flaked Almond Tart

A hand made Bakewell Tart without the icing. A shortcrust pastry case filled with lashings of seedless indulgent strawberry jam with a sponge filling consisting of whole egg, almonds, sugar and plain flour poured over jam to make a pale fluffy cake like filling.  

This can be fondant iced with a cherry or flaked almond topped.

Ingredients:
Pastry: Wheat Flour,[Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin (B3), Thiamin (B1)] Maize, (calcium Cardonate, Iron, Thiamin, Nicotinic Acid) ,Cake Margarine  (Vegetable Oils (Rapeseed-Palm Oil) Water, Salt 2%, Emulsifier: E475; Colours:  E100, E160b; Flavourings), Water, sugar. Filling: Ground Almonds, Sugar, Cake Margarine (Vegetable Oils, Water, Salt 2%, Emulsifier: E475; Colours:  E100, E160b; Flavourings) Rice Flour, Whole Egg.  Strawberry Seedless Jam: Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Strawberry Puree, Gelling Agent: E440A Acidity Regulators: E330, E331(C) Colour: E163, Natural Flavourings. Topping: Flaked Almonds.
